I guess I'm back

I think I'm returning to DA. I can't even remember why I made this account in the first place since art has never been as important as writing to me. This showed by that I rarely posted anything and never commented on anyone's work.

That's about to change. I cleaned my inbox from the over thousand deviation notifications and other junk. From now on I will at least try to comment on the stuff that people on my watch list are posting. I might also post some of my own stuff, but I'm not too sure about that. Everything I draw is intended for an audience elsewhere, so posting at DA feels a little pointless.

But I'll definitely draw it! I'm still searching for a good motive, though. There are a lot of scenes I'd love to draw, but I just can't put them on paper, it really sucks.
So I'll just wait a little and maybe there'll be a scene that inspires me :heart:

I keep an RSS feed of FF.net's Mecha community, so I was so happy you posted a re-imagining/alternate ending to Mica's story ;) Already reviewed it, thanks for sharing it :D

I'd love to write some more to the story and get the two of them properly together, but I feel a little uncomfortable playing with someone else's original character without permission, so I'm not sure if I'll ever write more.

I usually go by my account name AK-Silvergirl on FF but I didn't think that name really mattered and didn't feel like logging in so I just signed it TheAK like my YT-account instead :p
All other reviews of your stuff has been under my FF account-name though...

I've written several stories using other people's story-setups/OCs, mostly because I wanted to pay them respect, not because I wanted to maliciously rip them off. As long as there is a disclaimer and the author isn't available to contact or finds it offensive, I think it's alright.

If nothing else, you could always make your own OC in that sequel to Family Business that you considered, but never got around to... He could return to Crete (I saw you changed it ;D ) and during the whole powerstruggle in Ikanos and dealing with his estranged father and being used against his will by the military he could find a someone to bond with and help him overcome it...

Whatever you decide, I'll just be happy to see more from you. You write him so naturally - and you get stuff done. I have loads of ideas, but I can never really manage to flesh out a plot - I only get to the setup and the characters... D: so the story dies in its infancy.

Oh, so that's you. I had no idea. :) Would you like the credit in Family Business be changed to your FF.Net username?

I'd love to write about Myrna again. I have no idea why, but I just feel drawn to her somehow. If I get a really good idea, then I might have to reconsider my stance of not writing about her again. XD

Man, you're making me so eager to start writing Aladdin stuff again. Right now I'm busy with stories about another series, but as soon as I have the time, I'll think about returning to Aladdin. I had an idea about Mechanikles and the Sultan teaming up to capture a thief who stole the royal toy collection and Scooter, but something distracted me, and I only got about 10,000 words done. I'd love to finish that story one day.

I really hope you'll find the time/inspiration/energy to write something, too. You have such insightful thought about Mechanikles that I'm sure you'd do a marvellous job. But your fantastic art is of course a huge contribution to the fandom as well. :D
